When is Hall des Lumières open?
Hall des Lumières is open every day, during the following hours:
Sunday through Wednesday: 10AM - 6PM
Thursday through Saturday: 10AM - 10PM
Last entry is one hour before closing. Please note, hours are subject to change.
How long should I plan to be there?
The experience lasts about one hour but we encourage guests to stay as long as they would like.
Is Hall des Lumières a kid-friendly environment?
Yes, we encourage children of all ages to attend. Some content may be inappropriate for children under 13.
Are strollers permitted inside the exhibition hall?
Strollers are not allowed inside the exhibition and must be stored in the lobby.
Will there be strobe lights?
There are no strobe lights but some of the content may present risks for people with epilepsy.
Will food and beverage be available for purchase?
At this time, no.
Can I propose to my significant other at Hall des Lumières?
How exciting! Our customer service team is happy to help coordinate with the staff, if you are planning a public proposal, or connect you with our Private Events Director if you are interested in a private proposal. Please contact info@halldeslumieres.com to explore your options! We are excited to be a part of your special moment. Please be mindful that we are a ticketed event with other guests; venue staff may ask you to relocate within the venue after your big moment! As a reminder, we do not allow flash photography.
Will there be merchandise for sale?
Yes, our gift shop offers a large range of products.
Are animals permitted?
Only service animals are permitted at Hall des Lumières.
Is there a coat check at Hall des Lumières?
There is a storage room for personal items, but cannot store large items such as suitcases. Strollers are not permitted within the exhibition hall, and must be left in the lobby.
Will restrooms be available on site?
Yes, there are restrooms on both floors of the venue.
Where is Hall des Lumières and how do I get there?
Hall des Lumières is located in lower Manhattan at 49 Chambers Street New York, NY 10007 and is easily reachable by public transportation including subway, bus, ferry, PATH or walking.
By subway:
A, C, J, Z, 1, 2, or 3 to Chambers Street R, W trains to City Hall Station 4, 5, 6 trains to Brooklyn Bridge E train to World Trade Center
Check the MTA website for bus schedules and NYCFerry for ferry service. The PATH Train serves the World Trade Center terminal from multiple points in New Jersey, check the PATH website for details.

How do I purchase a ticket?
For the best availability, order your tickets in advance online. Limited tickets will be available on-site and subject to selling out. Click here to purchase tickets now.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No! Upon arrival to Hall des Lumières, locate your tickets in the Ticketmaster app or the Ticketmaster website. You’ll show your ticket to the ticket scanner, your barcode is scanned – and you’re in!
Do I have to purchase my ticket in advance?
Limited tickets will be available on-site and may be sold out. For the best availability we suggest you order your tickets in advance online.
Do you offer discounted tickets for groups, students, military personnel or senior citizens?
Yes, we offer group discounts for 10+ tickets, as well as discounted pricing for students, military, veterans, first responders and senior citizens.
Who is eligible for the family rate?
The family rate is for 2 adults + 2 youth (5 to 17 years old). Children under 5 have free admission, given at the box office.
Do I need to purchase a ticket for my child?
Children ages 5-17 require a ticket. Children under 5 have free admission, given at the box office.
How will I receive my ticket?
When your order is confirmed, you will receive an email confirming your mobile tickets from Ticketmaster, along with details on how to access.
I will not be able to come at my reserved time slot. Can I come before or after?
Late entry will be permitted, however you must arrive on time if you've booked the last time slot of the day, in order to view the full exhibition.
What is your refund policy?
Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. However, tickets are transferable, making it possible to gift your tickets to family or friends.

Is Hall des Lumières wheelchair accessible?
Yes, Hall des Lumières is fully accessible to visitors with reduced mobility. An elevator provides access to the mezzanine and the viewing platform.
Do you offer courtesy wheelchairs?
Yes, we offer courtesy wheelchairs. Inquire at the ticketing window when you arrive.
Are service animals allowed inside?
Yes, service animals are permitted inside Hall des Lumières. No other pets or animals are allowed inside the exhibition.
